Hope House News and Updates
A special note from the Board of Directors:
Since the ministry started:
•We’ve positively impacted the lives of 11 teenage mothers showing them the love of Christ through the ministry
•We’ve helped nurture 7 children with love and protection
•50+ women have volunteered to assist in providing these women and their children a witness to the love of Christ
•Numerous other persons (men, family members, work groups, etc.) have served the ministry in a variety of ways
Though we continue to seek and receive support, we've concluded we are uncomfortable with our financial situation. We have not been able to operate the ministry with consistent positive cash flow for the last few months, and rather than unwisely spending the funds, we have decided to temporarily cease taking women and turn our focus on fundraising only. Eliminating most of the expenses will allow us to preserve cash for the future and build a financial foundation from which we can be bold testifiers to a needed calling. We've been witnesses on a fast ride and have not had a chance to build a foundation in which to support such a calling.
Biblically we know the following holds true resulting in our recent decisions:
• If we go into debt, we would be serving two masters, God and Money, which doesn't work (Matthew 6:24)
• We need a foundation that cannot be blown or tossed by the wind (Luke 6:48). We knows this applies to finances as well
• It is foolish to create a future without counting the cost and confirming you have the tools to do so (Luke 14:28, 31)
Please continue to partner with us in a continuation to further His Kingdom through this ministry!
We will continue to keep the website updated with future fundraising events, ministry goals, financial status, and most importantly when we can start serving more young women.
May God bless you for your sacrificial involvement,
Hope House Board of Directors
